Date Night | Dollar Store Marker Drawing with Mike Hooves
Join us online for a laid-back date night drawing workshop with local artist Mike Hooves.
When making art, cheap markers allow access to playfulness and freedom that many of us lose after grade school. In this workshop we will revisit the ability to own each stroke put to paper as we explore the creative versatility a pack of simple markers carries.
Mike Hooves is a prairie queer and multi-disciplinary artist working in illustration, animation, and film. Their work depicts human experience and narrative, creating a normalization of the queer body.
Participants will require crayola markers and blank paper, easily sourced from a local grocery or dollar store.
Sign up with a friend or a date, and spend the evening together in creative play.
