Live Painting with McKenna Prather

Inspired by the exhibition Interiors by Margaux Williamson, in this workshop participants will learn to paint quickly, and intuitively. Williamson considers what is real and what has value by painting the objects in her immediate surroundings. Taking a similar approach, local artist McKenna Prather will lead us in creating a live painting that represents how we see the world around us.

Bring with you a photo, or physical objects from your home, or get inspired by what you see in the Esker workshop studio. McKenna will take participants through the painting process in stages, acknowledging that everyone has different skill levels and styles. She will encourage you to personalize your painting, and will offer advice on technique with acrylics throughout the workshop.

For attendees 18+. All materials will be provided. Registration is essential.
