Reimagining Boundaries: Exhibition Tour
Elizabeth Diggon
In Decolonizing Methodologies, Linda Tuhiwai Smith characterizes Western articulations of space as a tool of colonialism, arguing that “the Indigenous world view, the land and the people, have been radically transformed in the spatial image of the West.” In this tour, we will consider how Mary Anne Barkhouse and Postcommodity subvert and reimagine lines and boundaries – either real or imagined – that run between or across territories and delineate perceptions of domestic and private, human and natural.
