Youth Spring Camp: Gendai Guerrilla Equity Development (GED): Art and Action Youth Leadership Camp
Hang-out, dream, read, and make art with Gendai Art Collective, Esker Foundation team members, guest artists, art collectives, art organizations, along with your fellow youth participants (ages 15-20) in Mohkinstsis/Calgary.
Monday 27 March to Friday 31 March, 2:30-8:30pm daily.

Gendai – Marsya Maharani and Petrina Ng – invite BIPOC, racialized, immigrant, and other equity-deserving youth (15-20) to participate in, and co-create a free March Break program about art, activism, and anti-oppression.
Throughout its twenty-year history, Gendai has supported experimental curatorial and organizational practices, whilst creating space for East Asian artists and artists of colour. As Gendai’s newest stewards Marsya and Petrina are investing in the future of racialized arts leadership through collective research and practice.
Youth participating in the camp will receive:
– An honorarium
– volunteer hours
– certificate of completion
– free daily dinners and snacks
– free art supplies
– free transit fare
– fun, learning, community!
No prior experience is required.
