Art is a Guarantee of Sanity | Creativity & Wellness Workshops for Youth

This series of four workshops will focus on the sketchbook as a place where you can freely express and create, and where the process of making art is more important than the end product.

You will learn techniques from local artists, as well as creative exercises and tips for wellness from Blackbird Healing Arts Collectiveand we will work to fill a sketchbook, with the option of submitting it to the Brooklyn Art Library’s Sketchbook Project   the largest collection of sketchbooks in the world.

Selected pages from all of our sketchbooks will be showcased on Esker Foundation’s Instagram channel, and presented in an exhibition in Esker’s Bridge Space, a newly launched gallery space at Esker Foundation dedicated to artwork by young people.

All materials, including The Sketchbook Project sketchbook are included, to be picked up from Esker Foundation (1011 9th Ave. SE, Calgary).

Recommended for teens.
The workshops will happen online.
Please note, it is essential to register for all four workshops in the series.
